Working to keep us safe during COVID-19
We are open for in-clinic appointments with reduced service hours. We have a WorkSafe BC COVID-19 Safety Plan in place and are following the recommendations from the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC).
Please contact us and stay home if you are feeling unwell.
Do not come in if:
- You are feeling ill and/or have any of the following symptoms: runny nose, fever, cough, shortness of breath/trouble breathing, diarrhea or vomiting
- You have been asked to quarantine because you have travelled outside of Canada or have been in contact or close proximity with someone who has COVID-19
Visit our contact page for updated hours of operation during COVID-19. We have a limited number of travel assessment appointments available. Please book an appointment online or call us for availability.
COVID-19 Fit to Travel / Fly Certificate
We DO NOT conduct COVID-19 testing, but we can issue a “COVID-19 Fit to Travel / Fly Certificate” for travel purposes after an in person consultation with our doctor. Please note, this is not the same as a COVID test.
If you do not have COVID-19 symptoms but require an assessment or documentation for travel outside of Canada, we offer consultations and a certificate for those requiring COVID-19 clearance for travel. This letter will be provided at the time of your visit. Appointments are required and standard visit fees of $55 per person apply.
COVID-19 testing for people without symptoms is not publicly funded for the purpose of travel, work, or school and will not be provided at VCH COVID-19 Assessment Centres. Testing is not recommended for individuals without symptoms. Learn more about assessment for travel on VCH.ca.
