We carry a variety of travel supplies. All items are non-refundable and the prices include sales tax. These items are available at the VCH Travel Clinic/Vaccination Clinic for your convenience. We run on a cost-recovery basis so items are sold at cost.

Knock Down – Bed Bug Spray
Cost: $10
*Carry in checked luggage only*
A water-based compound non-irritating to humans and animals. Kills bed bugs and other crawling and flying insects on contact. Use in well-ventilated area. Do not spray more than once a week.
Treat your mattress while abroad: Spray mattress and replace bedding after 15 minutes. Ideally, leave a window open and leave the room.
Treat your suitcases on return: Empty, spray and leave in garage or outdoors overnight.
Water Purification Tablets (Aquatabs)
Cost: $15 (50 tablets)
Compact and easy to transport tablets. No unpleasant taste, odour or colour. The tablets are iodine-free and safe for use by children and pregnant women. Effective against many waterborne diseases. Add 1 tablet to 1 liter of clear water – leave 30 minutes before using. It is also safe to add 1 tablet to a smaller water bottle. Shelf life of 5 years.
MOSQUITO NETS
Infant Mosquito Net

Fine knit and washable polyester mesh. Fits most strollers, baby carriers, and playpens. Elastic hem.
MOSQUITO REPELLENTS
(Sunscreen is applied first followed by the repellent 20-30 minutes later.)
Ben’s Spray – 30% DEET
Cost: $15 (100 ml)
A water based formula. Reapply every 6 hours as needed. *Can be used on children 12 years and older.
Care Plus – 20% Icaridin (DEET-free spray)
Cost: $10 (50 ml)

Non-scented and does not damage synthetic materials. Provides 6-hr protection from mosquitoes and ticks and 10 hours from black flies.
