This provincial program supports ill and injured staff to recover at work or return to work. The program provides support from an integrated team to help you quickly and safely recover and return to work.  

This is for staff who require medical accommodation when they have temporary or permanent medical restrictions or limitations that prevent them from returning to their previous jobs. An accommodation may include anything from bundling duties, providing recommendations for adaptive equipment or even a new job. 

This committee helps improve services for VCH medical staff including workplace accommodation advice. 

There is a Physician Health Program through Doctors of BC and VCH has a Physician Peer Support Program. 

VCH is committed to promoting a culture of psychological health and safety across all our facilities and teams. 

Staff and medical staff can report respectful workplace complaints through a centralized and confidential service that is easy to use by phone or online 24 hours a day, seven days a week from any location.

This staff self-referral program is for those who are at work but may be struggling with a medical condition that impacts their work but does not require complete absence from work. When staff refer to the Struggling at Work program, a telephone appointment is scheduled with a health advisor to determine what supports can be offered.

This program can help staff, and their families find solutions for a range of life's challenges through a variety of counseling, health and wellness services.
