Some of the main duties of a Rehabilitation Assistant are to:

  • implement lower-risk interventions related to the clinical aspects of OT/PT care plans,
  • adapt devices and facilitate programs to enable patients/clients/residents to maximize their potential for independence,
  • provide functional direction to patient/client/residents and family; help manage equipment safety and inventory and
  • assist with practicing daily living skills.
