Adult Day Programs provide older adults who may have physical and/or memory challenges or who are living with a chronic illness with supportive, culturally inclusive health, social stimulation and therapeutic recreational programs in their community.

How to access

  • Get a referral

    Arrange for care by contacting the Vancouver home and community care office at (604) 263-7377 or have a health-care professional make a referral on your behalf. Once your referral is received, the organization will call you to book an intake appointment.

    Eligibility is determined by home and community case managers in conjunction with Adult Day Program professional staff based on an assessment process.

The centre is closed on weekends and statutory holidays.

Parking & transportation

Chown is located in East Vancouver, close to Kingsway and Fraser Street intersection. The entrance is on the corner of East 15th Avenue and Carolina Street. Street parking is available for visitors. Once seniors are admitted into the program, we can assist with HandyDART bookings for pick-up and drop-off.

Chown Adult Day Centre plays a key role in allowing our participants to live in the community as long as possible by providing social connections and purposeful activities in a safe and welcoming environment. We are one of two sites operated by the Renfrew-Collingwood Seniors’ Society.
