CIBC Centre for Patients & Families at Vancouver General Hospital

We are a resource centre that helps you and your family make informed choices about your health, before, during, and after your hospital stay.

The CIBC Resource Centre supports patients and their families or caregivers while they are staying or planning to stay at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), UBC Hospital (UBCH) and G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre, all located in Vancouver, B.C. 

What we can help you with: 

  • Directing to appropriate and reliable web-based consumer health information and resources 
  • Finding information about VCH services and locations
  • Finding information about health, and other programs and services within your home community
  • [Finding information for your trip to the hospital, or places to stay, if you are coming in from out of the city
  • Staying connected with family/friends while in the hospital.

Our center serves patients and families belonging to diverse communities. We aim to offer culturally inclusive support to assist you in accessing necessary services and resources.

  • Monday:   8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday:   8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday:   8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday:   8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday:   8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday:   Closed
  • Sunday:   Closed

We are closed on statutory holidays. Our hours have changed temporarily. Please call or email the facility during business hours to check for walk-in availability.

The CIBC Resource Centre for Patients & Families is located at 899 W. 12th Ave., JP1, Room 1861 - Main Floor Jim Pattison Pavilion - directly behind the Information Desk.
