Harm reduction: Toward the Heart 

Community-based assessment and treatment for youth ages 12 to 18 who are affected by moderate to severe mental health concerns. This program also helps to coordinate care and services with other community resources. If you are a child ages 6 to 12, ICY support is available at Richmond Place – 8100 Granville Avenue.

The Integrated Child and Youth (ICY) team is part of B.C.'s mental health and substance use care strategy and receives funding from the Government of B.C.. The team provides mental health assessment and treatment at school and in the community for children and youth experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.

How to access

    • Children and youth aged 6 to 19
    • Resident of Richmond
  • Get a referral

    Call (604) 204-1111 to connect with our teams that support children, youth, adults, and older adults in Richmond. 

    ​Both professional referrals and self-referrals are accepted. Appointments with a psychiatrist require a referral from a health professional. A physician or a nurse practitioner may complete our Richmond MHSU referral form.

  • Languages

    English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, French and Punjabi. Interpreters will be provided if required.
