We perform electroencephalography (EEG) tests to record the electrical brain activity that occurs with seizures. This information is combined with clinical assessments, neuroimaging and neuropsychological assessment evaluation to determine seizure management including possible candidacy for epilepsy surgery.

Get a referral
A physician referral is required. Clients are referred through The Epilepsy Program.
Hours of operation
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Visiting hours may vary depending on the unit. Please call the Vancouver General Hospital switchboard at (604) 875-4111 to determine visiting times before your visit.
How to get here
We are on the 5th floor in the Neurosciences Patient Care Unit in the Jim Pattison Pavilion.
There is pay parking available at our two visitor lots located on the VGH campus:
- Multi-level parkade at the corner of West 12th Avenue and Laurel Street, across from the main entrance of the Jim Pattison Pavilion.
- The Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre parking lot is located off of Laurel Street between West 12th and West 13th Avenue.
There is a wheelchair-accessible overpass from the VGH parkade at Level 4 and a crosswalk at Level 2.
