The VGH Transplant Pre-Assessment Clinic provides testing and consultation to help people determine if transplantation is the best treatment option for them.
During the assessment, several tests will be performed, specialists from the transplant team will be consulted, and various team members will interview the patient to determine whether transplantation is the best treatment option for them.
The patient will receive information that will help them decide whether to go ahead with the transplant.
We provide support for procedures such as:
- Kidney transplant
- Liver transplant
- Lung transplant
- Pancreas organ and islet transplant
