Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Teams serve children, youth and their families with serious mental health difficulties and/or social, emotional or behavioural disturbances.

Walk-In intake services

An intake appointment is your first appointment with the Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Teams. If you are unable to attend intake during the walk-in hours at the clinic designated for your home address, please visit one of the following clinics during their walk-in hours:

Northeast Community Health Centre

  • Walk-in Intake hours: Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

What to expect

Our clinics and programs of mental health professionals provide services including:

  • assessment and referral to appropriate services,
  • connecting with resources,
  • consultation,
  • therapy, psychiatry, groups and
  • education.

We are sensitive to the diversity of all families and have access to interpreters as needed. Our services are free-of-charge and voluntary.
