Passengers on April 4 flight from Beijing at risk of measles

Vancouver, BC – Passengers on a second flight from Beijing to Vancouver may be at risk of contracting measles. A person diagnosed with measles over the weekend exposed people on Air China/Air Canada Flight #CA 991/AC 6601 arriving at Vancouver International Airport at 12:15 PM on Saturday, April 4.

Insite receives annual Health Canada exemption

Vancouver, BC – Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has received its annual exemption from Health Canada to operate Insite. The exemption, under section 56 of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, allows VCH to continue providing harm reduction services at the facility until March 31, 2016.

Measles cases reported in VCH region

Vancouver, BC – Vancouver Coastal Health Public Health is following up on two cases of measles involving passengers arriving in Vancouver on a flight from Beijing, China. The two individuals were passengers on Air China Flight CA991, arriving in Vancouver on March 21st.
