How to access nutrition and dietitian services
Nutrition and Dietitian services are offered through services such as primary care networks, specialty outpatient services, home health, Public Health, long-term care and through other Vancouver Coastal Health services.
Some programs require a referral from a health-care provider such as a doctor or Nurse Practitioner, while other programs also accept self-referrals from clients and/or their families or caregivers.

What does a Dietitian do?
Our dietitians are trusted professionals who provide nutrition therapy and services and are members of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia. Dietitians deliver evidence-based information and education to support informed choices about food and diet, and support, participate in, and encourage nutrition research.
